New Issues Experience

Issues are great for helping Content Owners and Translators communicate about content and make sure Translators have the information they need to provide quality translations, But when you’re managing large projects, it’s easy for issue notifications to pile up and become unmanageable, making you waste time on issues that aren’t relevant to you while important ones slip by unnoticed.

Smartling is rolling out an improved Issues experience designed to facilitate easier communication between Content Owners and Translation Resources and cut down on notification fatigue. We collect more detail when an issue is created to make it easier for you to respond to issues that affect you and ignore the ones that don’t.

What’s changed?

  • Issues now come in two flavors: Source String issues and Translation issues, each with its own notification rules, to help you focus on issues that are relevant to you.
  • Each string now supports multiple issues that can be opened and closed independently. Any number of comments can be recorded against each issue.

For more information see the Help Center. If you would like an existing account migrated to the new Issues experience, contact your Client Services Manager.
