Clear the browser's cache.
For example, for Firefox, do the following:
- From the History menu, select Clear Recent History.
- In the Clear Recent History dialog, from the Time range to clear drop-down, select a time range to clear, or select Everything.
- Select Cache, and click Clear Now.
- Exit the browser completely before attempting to access Smartling again.

Each time you use a browser to access a file, your browser caches or stores the file so that the browser doesn't have to retrieve files (including any images) from the remote web site each time you click Back or Forward. Clearing the cache allows your browser to function more efficiently.
