Each language you configure in a Smartling project has a display name and an underlying locale code. Display names are shown to users in the dashboard. Locale codes are important when you are doing things like connecting content platforms to Smartling via Connector or API, or importing TMX files.
To view the Locale Codes for a Project in Smartling:
- From within a Project, click on Project Settings > API
In the Language Section, you will see the Language (display name) and API Locale code for your original (source) and target languages.
