If Allow Claiming is enabled on a workflow step, and a job has been created, translation resources (translators, editors, or reviewers) will be able to claim a job. This is particularly useful when there are several translation resources (for example, three translators) who are working on the same job.
To enable the claiming feature, go to Smartling > Projects > Project Settings > Translation Workflow. Select Edit.
Make sure Content Assignment is ON. Enable Allow Claiming and click Save.
For Translation Resources: translators, editors, or reviewers.
If you're a translation resource, you'll receive an email notification when there is a job that can be claimed.
- To claim a job, go to Smartling > Projects > Content (Summary) > Jobs Available for Claiming.
- To claim all the words in a job, click Claim All.
To only claim a certain number of words, enter a number in the Indicate Word Count to Claim field and click Submit for Adjustment. Click Claim.
- If you've claimed a job that you wish to release back into Jobs available for Claiming. Click Unclaim.
