When Smartling uses an existing translation memory to match source content with existing translations in the TM, it will often find word matches that are less than 100% identical. These are called Fuzzy Matches and are represented in the CAT tool by a match percentage typically between 50% and 99%. Fuzzy Matches allow Translators to edit the match instead of translating the content from scratch, which helps improve the speed and quality of the translations.
- Go to Projects Dashboard (select a project) > Content > Summary.
- On the Summary page, you'll see a list of available jobs. Click Estimate for a selected job. The Estimates window will appear.
- Click Create Estimate to run the report.
- The report will appear in the list of Previous Estimates. View or download it.
The full estimate will detail the weighted words for each locale in the job. Weighted words are any words that fall into a Fuzzy Match tier.
